Mariners coaches to all be invited back next year
Posted by Geoff Baker
Don't expect an annnouncement on this until early next week, but all of the Mariners coaches are being invited to stay with the team in 2010. The only way that could change is if some of the coaches decide, for things like family concerns, that they don't want to return.
But for now, the plan is to bring all of them back.
That's a huge change from a year ago, when all of the team's coaches were let go. Even the interim ones brought in mid-season to replaced fired hands.
Not so this year. The relationship between the players and staff could possibly be the best this franchise has known. And that's saying something. The plan now is to keep it all together.
