Podcast: Mariners won tonight because of offensive balance

Time for me to sign off. But here's a podcast for you to listen to explaining why I thought this team won tonight. Had a lot to do with spreading the attack around and not relying on the same one or two guys. We've already spoken about what Miguel Batista did on the mound. Mark Lowe was key as well over the seventh and eighth innings.

But when this offense scores eight runs, that's the story. There's a Yankee Stadium video tour for you as well.

If you listen towards the end, I've got a clip in there from Franklin Gutierrez, who gets my vote for the biggest contributor of the night.

Thanks Geoff. I guess we could call this game, and the road trip a real Gut check. And happy Felix Day to you.  Posted on July 3, 2009 at 12:04 AM by tracyburris. Jump to comment
Here's a link to a good article about Wak's early success this season and his transformation of the M's clubhouse in 2009, written...  Posted on July 3, 2009 at 2:47 AM by johndavidwsu. Jump to comment
