Friday's lineup

Posted by Danny O'Neil

I'm about to head down to the locker room clubhouse, but before I go, here's the lineup as posted on the Mariners' internal site.

There are a number of perils being a reporter who's whose primary job is to cover football venturing into a baseball locker room clubhouse. Football has locker rooms, baseball clubhouses. Football has coaches, baseball has managers.

I was always tempted to call Mike Hargrove coach just to goad him a little bit as Hargrove had a burr up his backside when any reporter under the age of 35 asked him any question. But goading subjects into getting mad is not something a reporter should ever do no matter how much fun it might be. As Jack Nicholson once said as The Joker, don't rub another man's rhubarb.
