Mariners fans will get a chance to see new catcher Jesus Montero, along with many other players and alumni, at this weekend's 14th annual FanFest at Safeco Field.

Among the players scheduled to appear, besides Montero, are Brandon League, Mike Carp, Brendan Ryan, Jason Vargas and Hasashi Iwakuma, along with top prospects Danny Hultzen, James Paxton, Taijuan Walker and Vinnie Catricala. Former players Jay Buhner, Dan Wilson and Julio Cruz are also scheduled to attend.

The event will be held Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for kids ages 6 to 14. Children 5 and younger are free.

Parking is available in the Safeco Field garage for $5 in advance and $10 at the door.

Among the features are Q&A's with Mariners players, coaches and executives; a tour of the M's clubhouse; a chance to throw a pitch in the bullpen and catch a pop fly in right field; and carnival games in the Kids Fun Zone.

Ticket information, as well as a complete roster and timetable for those scheduled to appear, is available at www.mariners.com/fanfest

Note

• The Mariners signed right-handed pitcher Brian Sweeney to a minor-league contract. The deal does not include an invitation to major-league spring training.
