Rainiers, AquaSox win in extra innings
Tacoma got past Salt Lake 7-5 in 12 innings and Everett beat Yakima 3-2 in 10 in minor-league games Saturday night.
SALT LAKE CITY — Brad Nelson hit a tying, solo home run for Tacoma with one out in the ninth inning, and the Rainiers pushed across two runs in the 12th to beat Salt Lake 7-5 in a Pacific Coast League baseball game Saturday night.
Callix Crabbe hit a two-run homer and Jeff Clement had a two-run double for Tacoma (39-42).
AquaSox beat
Yakima in 10
EVERETT — Gerardo Avila's two-out RBI single in the bottom of the 10th inning gave the Everett AquaSox a 3-2 Northwest League baseball victory over Yakima before 4,079 at Everett Memorial Stadium.
Andres Esquibel and Andrew Carraway (2-0), who got the victory, combined to strike out six in four hitless innings of relief for Everett (9-6), which has won four of its past five games.
