EUGENE, Ore. — Luke Burnett pitched 5-2/3 hitless innings and combined with two relievers on a two-hitter as the Everett AquaSox shut out the Eugene Emeralds 3-0 in Northwest League baseball Thursday night.

Burnett, a 6-foot-8 right-hander from Shreveport, La., struck out seven and walked five before leaving with two outs in the sixth in a scoreless game.

Juan Fuentes had an RBI double in the seventh and Anthony Phillips hit a solo home run in the eighth for the AquaSox (7-6).
