Pacific Coast League | Tacoma Rainiers decked by Aces, 8-5
Rusty Ryal hit two of Reno's four homers in the Aces' 8-5 Pacific Coast League victory.
TACOMA — Tacoma pitchers gave up four home runs, two to Reno's Rusty Ryal, and lost 8-5 to the Aces in a Pacific Coast League game before 4,484 fans at Cheney Stadium Thursday night.
Ryal and Tony Clark hit back-to-back homers off Rainiers starter Chris Seddon in the sixth inning.
Seddon left after six, trailing 5-2.
Tacoma tied it with three runs in the seventh on Brad Nelson's RBI single after Chris Shelton's two-run double.
But Ryal put the Aces back in front, 6-5, with a solo shot of Eric Hull (5-3) in the eighth. Reno's Ruben Gotay added a two-run homer off Denny Stark in the ninth.
