At least it's not a Ben McDonald card

Remember when you scored that 1989 Upper Deck Ken Griffey Jr. card and couldn't wait to check out the rising Beckett value each month — $70 ... $80 ... $100!

Well guess what, dude, your house and your Blue Oyster Cult albums used to be worth something, too. (You know all about the housing market, and, trust me on this one, you can't give away Blue Oyster Cult albums, even "On Your Feet or on Your Knees.")

The Griffey card is among the most valuable produced the past two decades, but it's a buyer's market. Now, with a little patience and the ability to navigate to craigslist or eBay, you can get one for less than $20.
