Texas Rangers outfielder Milton Bradley said Thursday he wanted to "introduce" himself to Kansas City Royals television announcer Ryan Lefebvre after some negative comments made on the air.

Bradley stormed up four flights of Kauffman Stadium stairs looking for Lefebvre after the Rangers' 11-5 victory Wednesday night.

"I came in to watch my at-bat on the video and all of a sudden I heard my name," Bradley said Thursday. "It was a spiel like five minutes out of the blue about me. I didn't think anything he was saying was anything positive.

"I never met him and I heard him talking about me on TV. I was upset and was going to introduce myself. ... All I wanted to do was introduce myself and tell him the stuff you're talking about is uncalled for."

Bradley never made it to Lefebvre, who is the son of former Mariners manager Jim Lefebvre. Rangers general manager Jon Daniels interceded and the two went back to the clubhouse.

Daniels said the Rangers would take no disciplinary action against Bradley.

Baltimore: Kevin Millar left Baltimore's game against Boston in the second inning after fouling a ball off his left knee. He bruised his knee and X-rays were negative. He is day to day.

Cleveland: All-Star catcher Victor Martinez will have surgery on his ailing right elbow and be sidelined at least six weeks.

Detroit: Tigers catcher Vance Wilson's career might be over after a major setback in his recovery from Tommy John surgery, tearing the new elbow ligament while trying to rehab the injury.

Kansas City: Royals RHP Brett Tomko, a former Mariner who was demoted from the rotation to the bullpen after several rough starts, was designated for assignment.

Los Angeles: The Angels optioned Brandon Wood to Class AAA Salt Lake to make room for Chone Figgins, who will be activated from the disabled list today.

Minnesota: Twins reliever Juan Rincon was offered an outright assignment to AAA Rochester, giving the struggling right-hander three days to accept or decline.

New York: State lawmakers and fiscal watchdog groups cried foul over the Yankees' bid for another $350 million in public financing for their new stadium. "These sports teams are private companies that appear addicted to keeping their hands in the government cookie jar," said Assemblyman Hakeem Jeffries of Brooklyn.
