TACOMA — Jeff Clement, sent back to Tacoma on Sunday after hitting only .167 for the Mariners, hit a grand slam as the Rainiers beat Las Vegas 7-1 Tuesday night at Cheney Stadium in a Pacific Coast League game.
Clement, hitting .388 in AAA, cleared the bases in the fourth with his sixth homer for Tacoma this year.
Sean White (3-3) allowed 10 hits but pitched into the eighth inning to earn the victory. Eric O'Flaherty got the final four outs.
