Baltimore Orioles pitcher Erik Bedard arrived in Seattle today, according to baseball sources.
Bedard flew from Ottawa, Canada and was scheduled to take a physical this afternoon, but it probably won't be concluded until Friday. Assuming Bedard passes his physical, a news conference to announce a trade is likely to take place Friday or Saturday.
The proposed deal would bring Bedard to Seattle for outfielder Adam Jones, left-handed reliever George Sherrill and three minor-league pitchers -- Chris Tillman, Tony Butler and Kam Mickolio.Copyright © 2008 The Seattle Times Company
