SACRAMENTO, Calif. — Todd Sears went 3 for 5 and knocked in four runs as the Tacoma Rainiers blew out the Sacramento River Cats 7-1 at Raley Field on Tuesday night.
T.J. Bohn went 3 for 5 and scored three runs for Tacoma, Mike Morse had two hits and drove in a run with a sacrifice fly, and Adam Jones hit a solo home run.
Clint Nageotte (2-1) allowed five hits, three walks and one run in 5-1/3 innings.
Bohn scored in the first and third innings, and the Rainiers blew the game open with four runs in the sixth inning — highlighted by a two-run triple by Sears.
River Cats starter Juan Dominguez (1-2) gave up eight hits, two walks and two runs in 4-2/3 innings.
Sacramento left 14 runners on base.
