PursePal is a hanger for your handbag, designed for use when dining out. The golden hook holds your tote over the table's side to keep it off the floor and out of the way. How does it work? A silver-dollar-size base rests on top of the table near the edge, while a strong narrow rod extends out, down, and back up to form a hook. The base's rubbery underside grips surfaces without scratching, while the weight of your hanging bag keeps the gadget in place. We had success with everything from a cotton summer satchel to a book-laden leather purse. It even holds a backpack or a diaper bag. Tablecloths don't trip it up, but table aprons do. We tested the $34.99 day bag design; a smaller evening bag version is also available for $29.99. They're rather pricey so it's good to know $5 from every purchase goes to a charitable cause.
