Lynne Varner
Prior to joining the editorial staff, Lynne was a member of a team of reporters covering primary and secondary education. In 2000, she was nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for co-authoring, "Are We There Yet?" a series examining affirmative action in Washington state. On the editorial page, Lynne writes about public education, health care, social issues and Seattle neighborhoods. She and her husband live in Issaquah and have a young son.
