One student appears to have been injured in a shooting at a Bremerton elementary school.

The Kitsap Sun reports (http://bit.ly/zAHGFg) that Bremerton Police and emergency crews were dispatched to the school around 1:30 p.m., responding to a call that a student was shot and injured by another student.

A firearm was found in a classroom and one student was detained.

The extent of the student's injury was not immediately available.

The school is locked down.
