KETCHIKAN, Alaska —

Two Prince of Wales Island boys who went missing in June have been found in Washington state after stepping off the Alaska-Washington ferry.

The Ketchikan Daily News reports the boys - 14 and 12 - were spotted Friday by a bus driver who noticed they were traveling without an adult.

The boys, Toby and Jacob, were last seen at their mother's house on June 1.

The boys' parents are locked in protracted divorce dating back to 2010. When the boys disappeared their mother, Laura Simmermeyer, suspected they were with their father or older brother.

She says the boys will be evaluated at a mental health facility, and Alaska State Troopers would arrange their return to her.
