Families with children on the free-lunch program may be eligible for subsidized Internet service from Comcast.
The program, called Internet Essentials, offers Internet service for $9.95 a month and computers for $149.99. Taxes are not included.
To be eligible, children must be enrolled in the National School Lunch Program. Other conditions apply.
For an application, call 855-8-INTERNET (855-846-8376).
