Centralia man, 95, has US citizenship confirmed
A 95-year-old Centralia man who was born in Canada to parents from the United States is having his citizenship confirmed in a ceremony Tuesday at the Citizenship and Immigration Services office in Seattle.

A 95-year-old Centralia man who was born in Canada to parents from the United States is having his citizenship confirmed in a ceremony Tuesday at the Citizenship and Immigration Services office in Seattle.
Leland Davidson moved to the United States with his parents when he was 5 years old, grew up and served in World War II. But when he was recently asked to show proof of citizenship for his driver's license he had nothing to show but the Canadian birth certificate. Then he found proof that his parents were born in America.
The immigration office says the certificate Davidson is receiving will take the place of a birth certificate.
He's one of about 60 people at the ceremony. Most are children.
