A man who was shot in the face with a Taser by a Pend Oreille (pahn-duh-RAY') sheriff's deputy died Thursday at a Spokane hospital.
KREM reports 68-year-old Lee Hall fell and injured his neck during his arrest March 24, and the cause of death has not yet been determined.
Deputies had responded to a report of an assault that started as a dispute between Hall and his landlord. Hall locked himself in a travel trailer and refused to come out. They believed he had a gun.
Deputies cut open the door and one fired a Taser. At least one barb hit Lee in the face. He fell, injuring his neck.
The undersheriff says deputies used the Taser properly and the neck injury was a sad accident.
