The West Seattle Water Taxi will make additional Friday, weekend and game-day trips all spring and summer starting April 8, King County announced in a Tuesday news release.
In addition to the weekday commuter trips between downtown Seattle and West Seattle, the water taxi will offer extended Friday night service and daily weekend sailings during the warm season.
The water taxi will also make several trips between West Seattle’s Seacrest Dock and Pier 50 on Mariners and Sounders game days. On any days when home games are scheduled between April 8 and Oct. 30, the water taxi will make eight trips at half-hour intervals with the last departure from West Seattle at 11 p.m.
King County Metro Transit shuttles to and from Seacrest Dock will also add extended hours to accommodate the additional water taxi trips, the county said. For water taxi information: kingcounty.gov/watertaxi.
