A wrong-way crash on Interstate 90 in Spokane Valley killed a Post Falls, Idaho, man.
The Spokesman-Review reports 27-year-old Kenneth J. Hardin died at a Spokane hospital.
KXLY-TV reports a car going west in the eastbound lanes was reported to the Washington State Patrol about 3 a.m. Friday, but troopers were not able to stop it before it collided with another car at the Barker Road exit.
Both drivers were taken to the hospital where one died. A third car hit the wreckage, but that driver was not seriously hurt.
Troopers say alcohol appeared to be a factor in the crash.
There was another fatality earlier Friday at Spokane when a car crash into a tree along Nine Mile Road and caught fire, killing the driver.
