A wrong-way crash on Interstate 90 in Spokane Valley has killed one of the drivers.
KXLY-TV reports a car going west in the eastbound lanes had been reported about 3 a.m. Friday to the Washington State Patrol, but troopers were not able to stop the car before it collided with another car at the Barker Road exit.
Both drivers were taken to a hospital and one died. A third car hit the wreckage, but that driver was not seriously hurt.
KXLY reports there was another fatality earlier Friday at Spokane when a car crash into a tree along Nine Mile Road and caught fire. The driver was dead when paramedics arrived.
