SEATTLE —

The Seattle School Board has voted unanimously Wednesday night to terminate Superintendent Maria Goodloe-Johnson after a financial scandal. The board is expected to vote on whether to appoint the school district's chief academic officer, Susan Enfield, as interim superintendent.

The Seattle Times says a vote is also expected on whether to dismiss Don Kennedy, Goodloe-Johnson's chief financial and operations officer.

The action comes a week after a state audit revealed the district misspent as much as $1.8 million in a program to promote small business contractors.
