SSCC official new leader at Edmonds Community College

Jean Hernandez, the vice president for instruction at South Seattle Community College, has been chosen to be Edmonds Community College’s next president.

Jean Hernandez, the vice president for instruction at South Seattle Community College, has been chosen to be Edmonds Community College’s next president.

Hernandez will replace retiring President Jack Oharah.

She has worked at Shoreline and Cascadia community colleges, and she has served in numerous leadership roles in the Washington state community- and technical-college system. She recently served as the interim president and vice chancellor of South Seattle Community College from March to July 2010.
