A 20-year-old Seattle man was sentenced to 39 years in prison for a gang-related killing in Kent.

KENT, Wash. —

A 20-year-old Seattle man was sentenced to 39 years in prison for a gang-related killing in Kent.

Edward E. Cobb was convicted last month of first-degree murder for shooting a 17-year-old from Seattle, Chazerey Bacchus, in July 2008, following an argument at the Kent Cornucopia Festival.

Kent police said the shooting was gang-related and that Cobb was wounded two hours later in Renton in retaliation.

Cobb was sentenced Tuesday at the Regional Justice Center in Kent.
