27 school districts get energy grants
Twenty-seven school districts in Washington are getting a total of $27.8 million for construction projects that increase energy savings.

OLYMPIA, Wash. —
Twenty-seven school districts in Washington are getting a total of $27.8 million for construction projects that increase energy savings.
Superintendent of Public Instruction Randy Dorn announced the awards Thursday. The money will be used to improve heating and ventilation, replace inefficient lighting and increase energy savings in buildings.
The 2010 Legislature provided a total of $100 million in energy grants for K-12 public school districts, colleges and universities.
