3rd case of whooping cough in Grant County

Grant County public health officials have confirmed a third case of whooping case in nine days in a child in the county.

MOSES LAKE, Wash. —

Grant County public health officials have confirmed a third case of whooping case in nine days in a child in the county.

Health officer Dr. Alexander Brzezny says there's a risk of a pertussis outbreak in the county, and families should make sure vaccinations are up to date.

The Columbia Basin Herald reports one of the infected children died Aug. 24 and the others are recovering.
