SEATTLE —

Ride the Ducks of Seattle is an independently owned and operated business that is separate from the Philadelphia tour boat company that suspended rides after an accident.

Ride the Ducks of Seattle President and CEO Brian Tracey says it is operating normally Thursday.

Tracey says his 16 amphibious vehicles, which are built on truck chassis, are the newest fleet in the country. He says they are safely maintained and inspected.

The vehicles provide tours of Seattle, including a ride on Lake Union, which Tracey notes is calmer than the Delaware River where Wednesday's accident occurred.
