Man shot leaving Seattle nightclub
Seattle police say that a man was shot and another man was beaten after they left nightclubs in downtown Seattle early Sunday.

Seattle police have arrested two men for investigation of assault after a man was shot as he left a nightclub near Seattle Center early Sunday.
Seattle police say a man and his friends were followed by a white Camaro after leaving a club in the 300 block of First Avenue North around 3:30 a.m. Shots were fired from the car several blocks away from the nightclub, police said.
Officers found a wounded man on the ground in front of a building in the 500 block of Wall Street. The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center for gunshot wounds to his neck and jaw, said Seattle police spokeswoman Renee Witt.
"Apparently the victim was targeted by the suspect," Witt said.
Witt said the victim interrupted the gunman while he was breaking into a car in Belltown on June 8. The car was owned by the gunshot victim's girlfriend. The man called police and tried to detain the prowler until officers arrived, but the prowler managed to get away, Witt said.
The man was never arrested for the reported car prowl. The case was still being investigated when the shooting occurred, Witt said.
A witness to the shooting called 911 and described the Camaro. An officer spotted the vehicle near Interstate 5, then followed it as it turned south onto the interstate, police said. The vehicle was stopped near South Dearborn Street and the two men inside were arrested.
Officers backtracked the route the car might have traveled to get to the freeway and found a gun in the roadway, police said.
Man beaten
About an hour before the shooting, police were called to an unrelated attack in the 2300 block of First Avenue, where a man was unconscious on the pavement.
According to police, a man and his girlfriend were walking around 2:40 a.m. when four men began to "cat call" the woman, said Witt, the police spokeswoman. The man confronted the four men and was beaten. No arrests have been made.
The man was taken to Harborview Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, Witt said.
