Witnesses sought in West Seattle fatal accident

Seattle police would like to talk to anyone who witnessed a truck and van collision last Wednesday morning at Third Avenue Southwest and Olson Place Southwest, just southwest of Westcrest Park in West Seattle.

Seattle police would like to talk to anyone who witnessed a truck and van collision last Wednesday morning at Third Avenue Southwest and Olson Place Southwest, just southwest of Westcrest Park in West Seattle.

The collision occurred at 8:36 a.m. The driver of the truck, Charles Elfrink-Thompson, 66, of Renton, suffered head injuries and died last Thursday in Seattle's Harborview Medical Center.

Detectives conducting the investigation are looking for witnesses, or anyone who observed the moments leading up to the collision. Anyone with information is requested to contact Det. Tom Bacon at 206-684-8932.
