Ferry worker slightly injured by car during offloading

Washington State Ferries canceled a sailing from Edmonds Wednesday after a car leaving the ferry Puyallup grazed a ferry worker.

Washington State Ferries canceled a sailing from Edmonds Wednesday after a car leaving the ferry Puyallup grazed a ferry worker.

According to ferry security, the worker received minor injuries when the car struck him. He was taken to a hospital for evaluation, according to Washington State Ferries.

In addition, the car also struck an inner wall of the Puyallup car deck, resulting in some delay in offloading the vessel. Arrangements were being made for the car to be towed off the boat, resulting in the canceled voyage.
