A tree-trimmer fatally injured in a fall while limbing a tree in the Poulsbo was identified Tuesday as Michael S. Pitcher, 30, of Bremerton.

A tree-trimmer fatally injured in a fall while limbing a tree in the Poulsbo was identified Tuesday as Michael S. Pitcher, 30, of Bremerton.

Kitsap County Coroner Greg Sandstrom said Pitcher was the owner of Allstar Tree & Landscape of Bremerton. He was dead at the scene in 13000 block of Keyport Road Northeast following a fall shortly before 5 p.m. Monday

According to Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue, aid was summoned by a co-worker after Pitcher fell about 35 feet from a tree in which he was working. He was wearing a helmet, but landed on his head on a fallen tree.

The state Department of Labor and Industries is investigating.
