Armed robber linked to 2 Seattle heists
An armed robber hit a business in Ballard early Saturday, and police say he closely matches the description of a gunman who held up a business on Roosevelt Way Northeast 90 minutes earlier.
An armed robber hit a business in Ballard early Saturday, and police say he closely matches the description of a gunman who held up a business on Roosevelt Way Northeast 90 minutes earlier.
At about 2:45 a.m., officers responded to a report of an armed robbery at a business in the 3200 block of Northwest 54th Street in Ballard. The robber was described as black, in his forties, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing a gray jacket, police said. He also wore a black ski cap and was armed with a semiautomatic handgun.
A similar armed robbery occurred about 90 minutes earlier at a business in the 13000 block of Roosevelt Way Northeast, police said. The robber's description was similar to that of the man in the Ballard crime, police said.
