The tsunami advisory for the Washington coast was canceled at 5 p.m. Saturday with little to show for it.

The advisory, issued as a result of the Chilean earthquake, was announced because there was some concern that waves could increase by up to a foot on the coast.

The highest recorded increase in wave height, however, was less than a half foot, according to the National Weather Service in Seattle.
