SEATTLE —

Seattle police are looking for a man who assaulted an officer after a chase and ran off.

The officer had attempted to pull over a car for a traffic violation shortly about 12:45 a.m. Wednesday when the car took off. After a brief chase the car crashed into a house in north Seattle. Nobody inside was hurt.

The driver got out and tried to run away. The officer chased him down but he fought her off and got away.

The officer was treated at a hospital.
