Roommate held in Seattle stabbing case

Seattle police arrested a man in his 60s on Saturday in the stabbing and beating of his roommate, a man also in his 60s, police said.

Seattle police arrested a man in his 60s on Saturday in the stabbing and beating of his roommate, a man also in his 60s, police said.

Officers responded about 3 p.m. to a call of a stabbing in the 3200 block of South Ferdinand Street and spoke with a man who had gone to a neighbor's house for help, police said.

The man, who had a stab wound to his hand, told officers his roommate had threatened to kill him and then stabbed him and struck him numerous times in the head.

Officers went next door and saw the suspect trying to flee the backyard by climbing over a fence, police said.

The man was taken into custody and booked into the King County Jail.

The injured man was transported to a hospital for treatment of his injuries.
