A man who police believe shot a 2-year-old in the thigh during a road-rage incident in Tacoma last Sunday turned himself in Saturday evening.
Tacoma police had earlier issued a felony warrant for Sauni "Johnny" Misi, 33. Police spokesman Mark Fulghum said Misi turned himself in Saturday evening after detectives had been in touch with Misi's family and then with Misi himself.
Misi was wanted on three counts of first-degree assault and one count of drive-by shooting. Police say he fired a round into a car after getting involved in the road-rage incident. The bullet struck a 2-year-old girl who was sitting in a car seat. She suffered non-life-threatening injuries.
Fulghum said Misi would be held at the Pierce County Jail.
