Survival equipment leaving Denver for Haiti
A Christian humanitarian agency is shipping nearly 20 tons of tents, blankets, cooking utensils and other survival equipment to Haiti from its Denver warehouse.

A Christian humanitarian agency is shipping nearly 20 tons of tents, blankets, cooking utensils and other survival equipment to Haiti from its Denver warehouse.
World Vision packed the gear Thursday to help in the wake of the catastrophic earthquake that hit on Tuesday. It's expected to arrive in Haiti by plane early Friday.
World Vision, based in Federal Way, Wash., stockpiles emergency equipment in Denver and other cities for quick shipment after disasters.
A Colorado Springs-based group, Compassion International, says it's trying to account for 64,000 Haitian children it works with at 230 child-development centers.
