Seat belt use at 96 percent in Washington

The state Traffic Safety Commission reports the level of seat belt use last year in Washington at 96 percent.

OLYMPIA, Wash. —

The state Traffic Safety Commission reports the level of seat belt use last year in Washington at 96 percent.

That's about the same as the year before and it's one of the highest rates in the nation.

Seat belt use was 36 percent in 1986 when the law was adopted.
