The State Patrol is seeking witnesses who saw a red minivan that reportedly forced a bicyclist off the road Saturday on Highway 202 east of Redmond.

The bicyclist, who troopers said rode into a ditch to avoid being struck head-on by the erratically driven van, suffered serious injuries and was taken to Overlake Hospital Medical Center in Bellevue.

The bicyclist, a 49-year-old Seattle resident, was part of a group of 10 cyclists with the Starbucks Racing Team.

Anyone who saw a red minivan headed east on Highway 202 around 11:45 a.m. is asked to call Detective Stacy Moate at 425-401-7746.
