Report: Officer involved shooting in Pierce County

Multiple reports say two Pierce County Sheriff's deputies have been involved in a shooting near Eatonville.

The Associated Press

EATONVILLE, Wash. —

Multiple reports say two Pierce County Sheriff's deputies have been involved in a shooting near Eatonville.

The News Tribune of Tacoma says deputies were responding to a domestic violence call around 9 p.m. in the Eatonville-Graham area on Monday night. Pierce County Sheriff's spokesman Ed Troyer told the paper that there are reports of two officers being shot and that a suspect is down. Officers are responding.

Calls and e-mails to Troyer were not immediately returned.

KING-TV in Seattle reported that a medical helicopter has been requested to the area.

It was just over three weeks ago that four Lakewood police officers were shot and killed at a suburban coffee shop in Parkland, Wash.
