Latest dispatches from Boeing Dreamliner test flight
Boeing tested its Dreamliner aircraft today. While the flight was expected to last more than five hours, deteriorating weather conditions forced the company to cut the 787's maiden flight short. Check back here for the latest updates from our staffers in the field as well as others online.
2:22 p.m.Boeing is streaming the news conference on its Web site.
2:13 p.m.The Associated Press has video of the Dreamliner landing via Boeing.
1:54 p.m.Danny Gawlowski sends this video of the Dreamliner on the runway following its landing.
1:51 p.m.A Boeing spokeswoman says there were no other issues prompting the plane's early landing.
"Just weather, that's the only reason," said Boeing spokeswoman Lori Gunter.
1:34 p.m.The Dreamliner has landed.
1:04 p.m.A Boeing text alert to the media as well as seattletimes.com staffers say the Dreamliner will land at approximately 1:15 p.m.
12:57 p.m.Sources tell The Seattle Times the Dreamliner is now expected to land about 1:30 p.m. The flight is being cut short because of weather conditions, Boeing officials said. The flight was originally expected to last about five hours.

10:20 a.m.According to KING5, the Dreamliner is not expected to ascend to 40,000 feet during its maiden flight, but the pilot could decide to keep moving higher if the plane is flying well.
10:12 a.m.The Dreamliner has started taxiing to the runway.
10:07 a.m.The one-minute notice has been given for takeoff.
9:55 a.m.Boeing has gone live on its Web site with streaming of the Dreamliner's takeoff. The feed also includes air traffic control audio. This is a company Web site with a public relations official providing commentary.

8:43 a.m.Reports from the field have Boeing looking at a 10:10 a.m. takeoff.
8:30 a.m.The Dreamliner flight can be tracked online at FlightAware.
8:15 a.m.Boeing has a Web site of its Dreamliner and the first flight.
Seattle Times aerospace reporter Dominic Gates has more detail on the tests the Dreamliner will undergo over the upcoming months.
8:02 a.m.Jon Ostower at Flightglobal says Boeing has until 2 p.m. today to begin its test flight of the Dreamliner 787.
From Jon: Boeing says that Mike Carriker and Randy Neville still plan to taxi out of Stall 105 around 9:45 AM for a 10 AM departure and will hold at the end of runway 34L until the weather clears. The company has until 2 PM before scrubbing first flight because the three-hour mark would bump up against darkness here in Washington state.
