SnoCo lewd law forces some baristas to cover up

The owner of one racy espresso stand in Snohomish County says he'll have his baristas cover up their breasts rather than seek a license as an adult entertainment business.

The Associated Press

EVERETT, Wash. —

The owner of one racy espresso stand in Snohomish County says he'll have his baristas cover up their breasts rather than seek a license as an adult entertainment business.

Bill Wheeler, owner of Grab-n-Go Espresso, told The Everett Herald he was in the process of doing away with pasties even before the county council voted new regulations Wednesday on bikini barista stands.

The ordinance requires an adult entertainment license for stands where baristas wear pasties that don't cover the bottom half of their breasts or thongs that don't fully cover their rear ends.

Starting next month, employees and customers of such stands must be at least 18. Violators could be shut down as a public nuisance.
