Seattle bus stop shooting was self defense

King County prosecutors say they won't charge a woman who shot a man after a confrontation on a Metro bus in Seattle.

SEATTLE —

King County prosecutors say they won't charge a woman who shot a man after a confrontation on a Metro bus in Seattle.

Prosecutors said Tuesday that 31-year-old Sara Brereton acted in self defense when she wounded 48-year-old Emmanuel Salters at a downtown bus stop.

Investigators say Brereton had reason to fear Salters was about to injure her on April 25 as he angrily advanced toward her.
