Local WTO events
Events marking the 10-year anniversary of the WTO protests in Seattle.
Documentary screening: A free premiere screening of "Today We Have the Power: Spirituality and the Seattle WTO Protests," followed by a short talk and discussion with David Korten. 6 p.m. Monday, University of Washington, Johnson Hall. (www.todaywehavethepower.com).
Film screening and discussion panel: A screening of Jill Freidberg's film, "This is What Democracy Looks Like," followed by discussion with Freidberg, Matthew Sparke and Verlene Jones and moderated by KUOW reporter Deborah Wang. 7 p.m. Thursday, Museum of History & Industry, 2700 24th Ave. E., Seattle. $5-$10. "N30: Live at the WTO Protest Nov. 30, 1999": A sound installation by artist Christopher DeLaurenti including recordings from the protest and police transmissions made that day. 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Thursdays and Fridays, 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturdays and Sundays, through Jan. 31, Henry Art Gallery at the UW.
