Boeing facility death was suicide

An investigation into the death of a Boeing employee at a facility in Kent Wednesday afternoon has been ruled a suicide.

The death of a man Wednesday afternoon at a Boeing facility in Kent plant has been ruled a suicide, according to the King County Medical Examiner.

The man who died was a 50-year-old design engineer in the company's Space and Intelligence Systems unit.

Boeing spokeswoman Kimberlee Beers said the company is providing support to the man's family and to his co-workers.

The Seattle Times does not routinely name people who take their own life, absent some compelling public interest.
