Associated Press Writer

SEATTLE —

The suspect in the shooting of Seattle police officer Timothy Brenton is out of intensive care and responding to questions.

Harborview Medical Center spokeswoman Susan Gregg-Hanson says 41-year-old Christopher Monfort was upgraded to satisfactory condition Monday afternoon.

Police say they shot Monfort multiple times as after he drew a handgun on them when they tried to question him at his apartment last Friday.
