Suspect in Seattle police killing a bit improved

A hospital spokeswoman says the man suspected in the shooting death of a Seattle policeman has shown some signs of improvement.

The Associated Press

SEATTLE —

A hospital spokeswoman says the man suspected in the shooting death of a Seattle policeman has shown some signs of improvement.

However, Harborview Medical Center spokeswoman Susan Gregg-Hanson says 41-year-old Christopher Monfort remains in stable but serious condition.

Monfort was shot by police officers at his suburban Tukwila apartment on Friday. Police were pursuing a tip that a car at the complex matched the description of a vehicle seen nearby when Officer Timothy Brenton was killed Oct. 31.
