Two women were killed early Sunday after the car in which they were passengers ran off the road and plunged into a ravine.

The accident occurred just before 1 a.m. in the Navy Yard City area of Bremerton, just north of Highway 304, according to the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office.

The women have been identified by the Kitsap County Sheriff's Office as 27-year-old Nina Morrison-Martinez and 28-year-old Laresa Davis, both of Bremerton. Both died at the scene.

A 24-year-old man driving the car was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle, where he was in satisfactory condition.

Investigators said preliminary analysis shows the Dodge Stratus was traveling southbound on National Avenue South and left the roadway at McCall Boulevard West.
