Teenage serial burglar suspected in more Camano Island burglaries

Colton Harris-Moore, 18, is suspected of breaking into homes in South Camano Island over the last several weeks in search of food, said Island County sheriff's Detective Ed Wallace. Wallace declined to go into details, but called the burglaries "Colton-esque."
In the past, Harris-Moore had allegedly been breaking into homes by climbing onto roofs, unscrewing skylights and dropping through them, authorities said.
Harris-Moore made headlines in recent weeks after he was suspected of stealing three airplanes, crashing all of them and yet managed to walk away. He is believed to have learned to fly from flight-training manuals and searching the Internet, Wallace said.
Harris-Moore is wanted on an arrest warrant for failing to appear in court on 10 criminal counts he was charged with in Island County in March. Those charges, filed in adult court, stem from his alleged summer 2008 crime spree on Camano Island, which included burglaries and one car theft. He is also wanted on an arrest warrant for escaping from Griffin Home, a juvenile minimum-security facility in Renton, in 2008.
